Abstract
Abstract The filler socket for a motor vehicle fuel tank has a horizontal section which after a curved section extends upwards towards the end. A ventilation pipe runs along the upper wall section almost up to a transverse stay. In front of the outlet opening (11) of the ventilation pipe (7) is an inclined rebound surface (12) which diverts the air flowing out of the ventilation pipe towards the centre of the fuel filler pipe. The rebound region is shaped largely like a groove.
