Abstract

Abstract An automatic measuring and dispensing mechanism for use with half liquid, paste, or granular material, in which a cylinder and piston pump is used to draw in a quantity of the material through a reversible valve, which is then reversed to an outlet duct while the pump dispenses the material, is presented. The device has a simpler drive than the existing mechanism working on this principle. A piston (12) and cylinder (11) operated by a lever (13) constitutes a pump which draws in a quantity of the material concerned (8) through an inlet duct (7) and a reversible duct (9) mounted in a suitable rotating elements (10). This element is then rotated through 180 degrees and the material is pumped out through an outlet duct.
