Abstract

Abstract Photoelectric pulse detector comprises a spring clip with two relatively pivotable arms (4, 14) which are biased towards each other and which bear a light source (2) and a photosensitive element (3), for clamping a finger between the arms of the clip. The light source and photosensitive element are combined next to each other into a unit (1) which is mounted on one arm (4) with recess (5) and support so as to be detachable from the outside. The unit pref. has a square housing with a guide groove in each of two opposed side walls. The housing can be inserted in the recess parallel to the plane of the arm, with the two edges of the recess frictionally and/or clampingly engaging in the guide grooves. The unit is thus easy to replace.
