Abstract
Abstract The bottle-stopper contains gas-tight membrane(s) covering the whole cross-section of the stopper. The cross-section may be covered completely with a single membrane, or several overlapping partial membranes may be spaced at intervals. This allows the plastic to form a single connected mass. Membranes may be placed on the surface or in the interior; they may be simple or cpd. sheets. In the latter case the gas-tight membrane may be formed on a non-gas-tight support. A typical compsn. includes aluminium and/or polyester and/or polyethylene.
