Abstract
Abstract The dioptric lens prosthesis for the human eye has fasteners on it for fixing in the pupil aperture of the iris. The lens body (11) is hollow and contains an inert gas. Pref the lens body consists of two discs (16, 17) spaced apart and connected by a ring or collar (18, 19). At least one of the discs is curved. The lens body can consist of two rotationally symmetrical, identical parts whose connecting surfaces are hermetically sealed together over the collar. A pair of lugs (14, 15) are provided on the periphery of both discs (16, 17) between which the edge of the pupil opening in the iris is arranged.
