Multi-chambered hollow rubber joint-sealing section - with partitions as cylindrical sheath components open to sealing flanks
Abstract
Abstract The hollow rubber shaped-section, for sealing expansion joints in roads, or for similar sealing functions, is designed to have partitions which are evenly deformed in the installed condition, so as to preserve constantly optimal sealing effect of the flanks. It comprises a top and a bottom side, two sealing flanks, and the interior partitions extending lengthways, which bound the chambers touching on the flanks, and which are in the form of cylinder sheaths open to the latter. There may be further intervening cylinder sheath-shaped partitions curved the opposite way, and combined to form a common cylinder sheath. The sealing flanks may have parallel surfaces. The shaped-sections provide a closer fit, and are more durable.
