Coupling between plastic tube and nipple - comprises sleeve thrust over tube end into which nipple is placed
Abstract
Abstract The nipple (1) has a bead encircling it over which the tube is thrust whereby the bead prevents the tube (2) from slipping off. A groove formed by squeezing-in the sleeve (3) below the bead has two projections displaced 180 deg. relative to one another. Near the projections the flat-pressing between the tube and the nipple is not so high as in the normal region of the groove. A second groove (7) is similarly formed in the sleeve at a distance from the first groove and has two projections (8) displaced 180 deg. from one another and 90 deg. relative to the first pair of projections. The design gives a reliable leak tight sealing in the assembly.
