Flat item stackable container - is blister type with taper bosses in plastic sheet fitting in cardboard sheet
Abstract
Abstract The container is for items which are flat or which can be packed flat, particularly gramophone records, and is of blister form, with a flat sheet (1) of cardboard or plastic with one or more holes in it, onto which is fitted a deep-drawn section of plastic sheet (2) shaped to fit the goods contained. The latter section has one or more bosses (5) formed in it, fitting in the holes, the boss height being greater than the container thickness in the area where the contents are accommodated. The boss tapers towards the top, and its cross-section is such as to fit in the hole. The bosses can be on the side opposite to the opening through which the contents are extracted. The sheet section can have a strengthening rib running parallel to this opening.
