Abstract
Abstract A rubber surface, esp. the tread of an automobile tyre possessing esp. good grip, has an outer layer contg. down to the premissible wear depth, a mixture of rubber with the addition of corundum powder, esp. of 20-300 (20-40) mu particle size. the pref. proportion is 20-40 (20) wt.% corundum relative to unvulcanised raw rubber. The tyre is suitable for both summer and winter use.
