Abstract
Abstract Active electrical elements, e.g. core and windings, are protected from damage by compression of the casting resin and against magneto strictive effects, by pre-potting them in a foamed plastic jacket which is impervious to the casting resin. Possible methods are for moulding of a self foaming resin e.g. polyurethane or spraying or painting or sticking on of shaped plates of foam rubber.
