Abstract
Abstract Suitably shaped solid material such as a metal, ceramic, or synthetic material, is coated with an eutectoid of tri- nd tetracalcium phosphate (pref. bone ash), and the coating is heated in water vapour at about 1000 degrees C, whereby hydroxylapatite, Ca5(PO4)3OH is formed which is the main mineral component of bones and is completely compatible with tissues of human body. The strong core ensures a sufficient toughness of the product.
