Abstract

Abstract WOVEN LOOSE SHEETS OF NEUTRAL SYNTHETICS FIBRES FOR BARRAGES AND DYKES.. Consolidating sheets (1) formed of corrugated chemical fibres, impregnated with a binder resistant to sea water and chemicals, according to Patent No 731,428 are characterized by having at least one face needled to fabric network (2) composed of a synthetic material, a spongy band of synthetic material (4), a packing of chemical fibre or similar porous support material so that the fibres form on the opposite face a dense layer of loops (3) or are connected by incorporated meltable fibres. For preventing erosion. Used in dams, dykes, hydraulic and road construction.
