Abstract

Fig. 2 The invention relates to a closure body which is applied by means of a catheter, preferably for closing the ductus arteriosus persistens, as well as other arteriopulmonaler and arteriovenöser fistulas or heart defects, wherein on the closure body, a pressure in both directions can be exercised when it is arranged in Gefaess. The closure body has a single-shell hyperboloid-like basic shape, if it is not influenced by external forces. It may consist of a metal, a metal alloy, plastic, metal-textile compounds, metal-plastic compounds, metal balloon compounds, plastic-plastic compounds or plastic balloon compounds, and has ends that spread apart automatically after release from the catheter such that the closure body in the released state assumes a shape which lies in the envelope curve of a single-shelled hyperboloid-like shape. The bridge between the ends may be hollow or without a cavity. At least on one side of the closure body, a fastening element is provided, on which a retaining wire can be loosely attached. Fig. 2
