Transmitting long alphanumeric and pixel data over radio-pager POCSAG network - separating information, assigning data regarding separation to each part and transmitting, and combining parts at receiver using assigned data
Abstract
Abstract The graphics transmission method involves separating an information signal into a number of parts and assigning additional information to each part regarding the separation. Each signal part and additional data does not exceed a given length, and all parts with associated data are transmitted independently. The transmitted signals are received where the information signal parts are combined on the basis of the additional data. USE/ADVANTAGE - For transmitting large amt. of information, esp. image by radio over network with limited reliable transmission of data messages e.g. over paging network. Transmits both alphanumeric and image pixel information, e.g. Arabic, Japanese and Russian characters.
