Multi-terminal electrical connector - includes spring block linking together two boards carrying contact pads

Abstract

Abstract The separable electrical plug includes a circuit board (3) with a set of contact pads (2). A plug fitting (4) includes a similar block (12) with a set of contacts (26) to which the individual wires of a cable (5) are soldered. The two sets of contacts are linked together by an intermediate block (11) with spring biased pegs projecting from each side. The pegs are in pairs held apart by the central springs, and form the electrical connection between the pads of each of the contact boards. The electrical connections are held by a separable casing with retaining lugs. USE - Multi-terminal connection for data processing equipment.
