Process for the production of profiled reed wires for reeds and the use of the reed wires produced in this way
Abstract
Abstract Profiled reed wires (1) for the reed of an air-jet weaving machine are punched out of a strip (3) with a thickness corresponding to the thickness of the dent in a longitudinally parallel manner and at a distance from one another. In a first process step, the strip areas (4) between the longitudinal edges of the individual reed wires (1) are punched out and all further process steps for the working of the reed wires (1) are performed with the dents connected at their longitudinal ends to the strip (3). In the last process step, the longitudinal ends of the reed dents (1) are separated from the strip (3). In this way, read dents can be produced in an efficient manner while protecting the workpiece as far as possible from damage or stress. <IMAGE>
