Generator rotor water-cooling pressure tube - is made of plastics and has external reinforcement between end sleeves
Abstract
Abstract Pressure hose, esp. a cooling water hose for the rotor of a generator, has a plastic (preF. PTFE) hose part, metal connection pieces extending into the hose ends, and peripheral fastening sleeves for the connection pieces. The hose parts are provided with pressure-resistant outer reinforcements that extend under the fastening sleeves, and at least one end of the hose part extends over the adjacent fastening sleeve. The nipples of the connection pieces possess annular outer thickenings in the central region of the fastening sleeves. The hose resists high operating pressures for long periods, e.g. 300 atmos. The ends of the hose are electrically insulated from each other. Easily produced at low cost.
