Urine analysis receptacle - has multiple measuring chambers with separate outlets
Abstract
Abstract A measuring receptacle for the urine passed by a patient has two internal walls in a generally transparent vessel. The urine passing through the entrance (3) in the lid (2) goes into a narrow chamber (4) which has a suitable volumetric scale engraved on the outside wall, suitable for small volumes. A valve (11) at the bottom permits the extraction of known quantities for analysis etc. Extra urine overflows the first internal wall into a second larger chamber (5) which has about ten times the volume of the first and which has a similar scale for the larger volumes involved. Another valve allows separate extraction from this chamber. Still more urine will overflow the second internal wall to pass via an outlet passage to a suitable bag (9).
