Abstract
Abstract The bursting protection valve is used for concrete tanks for holding fuel and diesel oils. The bursting protector has a cylindrical vertical body 2 whose upper edge has a brass rim 8 which is in contact with a fuel oil compatible plastics sealing ring 7. This sealing ring is held in the cover of the bursting protection valve. The central plug of the bursting valve which holds down the cover with the seals is made from steel and it slides in brass bearing rings 5. This arrangement prevents sticking of the valve. The central plug is spring loaded for holding down the sealing arrangement.
