Test tube centrifuge loading gear - with multiple vertical transfer plungers

Abstract

Abstract The test tubes are dropped into open ended carrier tubes which are moved along a fixed track with an annular loop of the same dia. as the pitch circle of the tilting holders on the centrifuge turntable. A matching ring of vertical plungers can be raised and lowered through apertures in those holders when the centrifuge is stationary so transferring the test tubes between the holders and the carriers and vice versa.
