Bistyryl dyestuff prepn - contg water-insol dyestuff, for dyeing polyesters greenish-yellow
Abstract
Abstract Dyestuff prepn. contains water-insol. styryl dyestuff of formula: NC-C(Y1)=CH-A1-N(R1)-R3-Z-R4-N(R2)-A2-CH=C(Y2)-CN (in which R1 and R2 are opt. substd. alkyl, opt. forming ring with A1 or A2; R3 is opt. substd. alkylene; R4 is direct bond or opt. substd. alkylene; Y1 and Y2 are cyano, carbalkoxy or arylsulphonyl; A1 and A2 are opt. substd. p-phenylene; Z is direct bond or -SO2- free colourless bridge) and dispersant(s). This prepn. is used for dyeing/printing hydrophobic (semi)synthetic fibres, e.g. cellulose acetate and esp. aromatic polyesters; also copolymers of propylene oxide and unsatd. epoxides and PVC fibres. It gives pure, strong, greenish-yellow dyeing, with excellent light- and sublimation fastness.
