Abstract

Abstract ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of making a stressed-skin panel to be used for e.g. outer walls, inner walls, naked floors or ceilings for building houses has a building element comprising two plates or the like having insulating material therebetween. Intermediate joists may also be cut or in another way divided into a number of longitudinal bars which are fixed as spacing elements between the two main plates.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 12
Claim 1
Independent Claim 140 words
A method of making a stressed-skin panel for use in build-ing construction and the like comprising the steps of: forming a spacer panel by connecting together two inherently rigid parallel spaced apart outer plates by means of an intermediate insulating spacing material which is secured to both of said outer plates; forming spacing elements by dividing said spacer panel into a plurality of longitudinal bars; positioning said spacing elements in parallel relationship between two main plates with the outer plates of said spacing elements being substantially perpendicular to said main plates; and bonding said outer plates to said main plates for securing the latter in spaced parallel relationship with respect to one another, and for transmitting loads from one to the other of said main plates said main plates together with the spac-ing elements bonded thereto constituting said stressed-skin panel.
Claim 2
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 19 words
A method according to claim 1, wherein the spaces between adjacent spacing elements are filled with thermally insulating material.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 25 words
A method according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said insulat-ing spacing material occupies the entire space between said outer plates of the spacer panel.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 36 words
A method according to claim 1, wherein said insulating spacing material comprises a plurality of rigid joists and wherein said joists are bonded to said outermost plates of the spacer panel in a spaced parallel relationship.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 19 words
A method according to claim 4, wherein a thermally insulating material is placed in the spaces between said joists.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 21 words
A method according to claim 4, wherein the dividing of said spacer panel is effected longitudinally through some of said joists.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 20 words
A method according to claim 4, wherein the dividing of said spacer panel is effected through each of said joists.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 36 words
A method according to claim 1, comprising the further step of dividing the stressed skin panel into module elements, said divisions being made at regular intervals and being multiples of the distance between adjacent spacing elements.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 32 words
A method according to claim 8, wherein, subsequent to said division, one or more edges of each module is provided with a connecting member to facilitate the joining of the modules together.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 91 words
A stressed skin panel for use in building construction and the like, comprising two main plates spaced apart and extending in parallel relationship with respect to one another, and a plurality of bar-shaped spacing elements bonded to said main plates in the space therebetween and arranged parallel to and spaced apart from each other, each spacing element compris-ing two inherently rigid spaced apart parallel outer plates to transmit loads from one to the other of said main panels and an intermediate heat insulating material secured to both of said outer plates.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 91 words
A stressed skin panel for use in building construction and the like, comprising two main plates spaced apart and extending in parallel relationship with respect to one another, and a plurality of bar-shaped spacing elements bonded to said main plates in the space therebetween and arranged parallel to and spaced apart from each other, each spacing element compris-ing two inherently rigid spaced apart parallel outer plates to transmit loads from one to the other of said main panels and an intermediate heat insulating material secured to both of said outer plates.
