Abstract
Abstract The card itself (5) and/or cheque with which it is to be used has a box (6) within which the bearer may make a print of a particular finger. The print is compared with that stored in the central memory of a computer connected to an information system. The card itself may include an indelible fingerprint (7) adjacent to the box (8) in which the bearer may make a new print at the mement of use.
