Short-range duplex mobile radio communication system - has separate double channel links operating on different pairs of frequencies to communicate with outstations
Abstract
Abstract Each link consists of a transmitter at Control working to a receiver at the corresponding mobile oustation, and a transmitter working back to a receiver. Each channel of a link is on a different frequency, permitting duplex working. Furthermore, each link uses a different pair of frequencies so that outstations can communicate only with control. A commutator at one control permits communication between two or more outstations. - A single antenna serves all the transmitters and receivers at the control. A meter in each antenna lead indicates transmitted or received power. A potentiometer governs transmitted or received power. Each outstation has a similar pot. Outstation operators wear receiver/microphone headsets, leaving both hands free. Control operator has a loudspeaker and microphone.(0/3)
