677 n THE CLAIMS DEFINING THE INVETION ARE AS FOLLOWS: 1. An insecticidal composition comprising a mixture of cis-9-tricosene, a suitable carrier substance, and at least one member of the following group of insecticides or insec- ticide mixtures:- dimethyl 0,0,0 trichloro a hydroxy ehtylphos- phonate, 2-isopropoxyphenyl N methylcarbamate, dimethyl 2,2 dichlorovinylphosphate dimethyl 3 hydroxyglutaconate dimethyl-phosphate and 0,0 dimethyl 0 (2,4,5 trichloro-phenyl) phosphorothioate in adimixture with dimethyl 2,2 dichloro- vinylphosphate. 2. A composition according to claim 1 wherein the said carrier substance is sugar in granule form. 3. A composition according to claim 2 wherein said mixture contains cis-9-tricosene and said insecticide in the total amount of from 0.05% to 10%, by weight, of the composition. 4. A composition according to claim 3 wherein the ratio of cis-9-tricosene and insecticide is from 1:100 to 25:1. A composition according to claim 4 wherein said ratio is from 1:40 to 2:1. 6. A composition according to claim 5 wherein the insecticide is dimethyl 8p,,p trichloro a hydroxytehylphosphonate. 7. A composition according to claim 5 wherein the insecti- cide is 2-isopropoxyphenyl N-methylcarbamate. 8. A composition according to claim 5 wherein the insecticide is dimethyl 2,2-dichlorovinylphosphate. 12 477.5 26 62.67 7 A composition according to claim 5 wherein the nsecticide is dimethyl 3-hydroxyglutaconate dimethyl hosphate. 0. A composition according to claim 5 wherein the insecti- ide is 0,0 dimethyl O (2,4,5 trichlorophenyl) admixture with dimethyl 2,2 dichloro- hosphorothioate in inylphosphate. 1.
