Abstract The apparatus comprises a flat electronic screen (7), means (14) for displacing on the screen an image, stored in a data bank (9), of a given template or frame of spectacles, and means (8) for recording the displacements of the image on the screen (7), storing in memory the differences of its final coordinates with respect to a reference position constituted by the intersection of two orthogonal axes X, Y and calculating the resulting data and applying them directly to a grinder (11).
