Synchronizing apparatus for paralleling a synchronous generator and an alternating current network

Abstract

Abstract In order to ensure stable and rapid synchronization for a synchronous generator 3 with any desired generator drive 4, a synchronizing apparatus is proposed in which a measurement circuit is provided to determine characteristic values for the dependency of the rotation- speed profile of the generator drive 4 as regard to time on the application of control signals to its rotation speed regulator 5, and a memory is provided for these characteristic values, so that a computer 13 can use the stored characteristic values to calculate the control signal magnitude required for frequency adjustment for the desired rotation speed change. <IMAGE>
