Abstract

Abstract In a frame-like terminal body composed of metal for electrically conductive accommodation of plug-in conductor ends, in particular thin-wire and stranded conductor ends, a protective element is provided in the interior of the metallic terminal body, which is surrounded by an insulating terminal body. The limbs of this protective element are located opposite the screws to be inserted, with the head walls and associated elements of the head walls of a central headpiece being fixed axially on stop components of the terminal body, and with that part of the headpiece which points towards the terminal body base being closed, while the part which points in the opposite direction is open. The headpiece can be deformed by one process step, so that its elements are axially supported and fixed on an opening in the terminal body, or stop surfaces are formed by granulation from the side walls, but only for the headpiece. <IMAGE>
