Transmitting and/or receiving arrangement for portable devices
Abstract
Abstract Transmitting and/or receiving arrangement for portable devices, in particular cordless telephones, having components which are formed using integrated circuit technology and are arranged for the purpose of screening in a housing made of insulating material whose inner area is provided with a metal coating, or which are enclosed by a metal housing. The outer area of the housing is in part provided with one or more mutually insulated metal coatings, 2, 2'; 3, 3'; microstrip antennas, which serve as a transmitting and/or receiving antenna. The housing is expediently of parallelepipedal design, each of the transmitting and/or receiving antennas comprising in each case two metal coatings 2, 2', 3, 3' which are arranged in an angled manner via in each case two mutually diagonally opposite edges 6, 6'; 7, 7' and are connected to the transmitter and/or receiver via a respective common antenna lead 4, 5. The metal coatings 2, 2'; 3, 3' are provided with strip-type cut-outs 8, 8'; 9, 9' in which the antenna leads 4, 5 are led and at whose inner ends the antenna leads 4, 5 are conductively connected to the metal coatings 2, 2', 3, 3'. <IMAGE>
